chili in the fall...

I made this tasty chili yesterday after work and I would say it only took about 30 minutes to prepare.  Just what you want on a Wednesday night!

Easy Chili
Brown 2 pounds of ground beef with 1 small chopped onion and about 4 cloves of diced garlic.
Add:
  • two 14 oz. cans of diced tomatoes
  • two 15 oz. cans of tomato sauce
  • 2 cans of water
  • 1can of dark red kidney beans (rinsed)
  • 1 can of light red kidney beans (rinsed)
  • 1 can of black beans
  • 1 tbs. of chili powder or more
  • 1 tsp. of red pepper flakes
  • 2 bay leaves
  • salt and pepper to taste
Bring to a boil and then reduce heat.
Simmer and stir for about 1 hour.
Serve with shredded cheese, sour cream, garlic bread, and a tossed salad.
Yummy!
