sometimes it just doesn't work...

From the moment we entered Graham's school on Saturday to celebrate grandparents; Graham was not happy. Our little man wanted to be held and stopped talking and just could not embrace what was happening. He was more than confused.
Graham showed us his hook and his daddy had him show us his friend's hooks; NOPE; not working.
We walked around the room holding him and asking him what certain centers were; NOPE; not working.
We sat at the craft table and I tried to make some apple artwork with Graham;
NOPE; not working.
After the second time G told us he wanted to leave, we left as there was no reason to stay. As Graham walked out of his room past the directors and toward the door, he smiled and talked and happily ran to the car. When home, Graham helped us put the pumpkin we brought him by the fireplace and hang the bells on the door and was excited with the pads of paper I brought him. At 151, we enjoyed brunch and much laughter and constant conversation for almost two hours before we said our goodbyes and headed home. I was sad that I had to leave my guy as he was so precious on Saturday.
Bam! Our first Grandparent's Day was a success; even if Graham did not think so!
