back to school week...

This is the week all of our youngsters head back to college.  Cars are packed with clothes and shoes and coats and books and lamps and fresh bedding and food and so much more.  Goodbyes were said and hugs given and tears shed by many.  Parents hearts are bittersweet; they are so happy their child is going to experience this amazing opportunity and so worried about his or her success and safety and happiness. Drives will be both long and short, filled with conversations and silence and eyes will be meeting; sometimes to look for a sign of an emotion and other times to just look. Oh, the joy of this week is one that I will miss! Here are some happy memories of ours.
