making lists...

Are you a list maker?  I love making lists and rewriting list and checking completed tasks off of lists.  Creating to do lists, grocery lists, school work lists, home lists and lists of the upcoming week's menu is something I honestly enjoy. It is a personality thing, and those that share mine do the same thing.  This past weekend, Brian and I created a list of conversation topics we wanted to discuss with family at our Sunday gathering. (We heartily laughed as we engaged in the list making.)  When I announced "the list" at the table, the reactions on the faces of our family members was priceless. No one had time to filter, so all I saw was looks of shock, confusion and amazement.  Also some, as they glanced at each other, appeared to be asking with their eyes, "Is Suzie O.K.?" I am smiling as I think about it now, but who would have thought most seemed to enjoy the discussion we had on simple, everyday topics about real people we engage with daily because of the ideas on "the list".  It really was a memorable moment  (Brian and I are still talking about it!)  as was the look on Chris's face when Sarah said, "I have a topic to add to the list."
She is her Mother's daughter!
