Yesterday was my first run since I fell hard last February. Although I was a bit injured for a few weeks and my knee still has a bit of fluid on it, that was not why I was not running. To be perfectly honest, I just could not get myself to go out on those cold, dark mornings. Well, things have changed, and it happened on Monday. I was out by around 5:15 and it was wonderful. No music; just the sounds of the world waking up on a spring day. I ran at a nice, even pace, made my two miles easily as that is not difficult distance to run and I felt like I started my week off on the right foot. There is nothing better than exercise as it is just good for one's body and soul.
