a nick update...

As we move into year two of Nick living at home, Brian and I have discovered much about him that we would not know if he were not here.  Does that make sense?  Anyway, as he completes month 3 of working in corrections, I have seen how reflective he is.  Nick thinks nightly about what went right and what he could have done differently on the job.  That's a good thing.  He joined Brazilian jiu-jitsu to engage in a hobby so he does not dwell on work and to become flexible and he loves it.  Wanting to lose weight is still a goal and he practices "portion control" every time he eats which is impress.  Nick is very routine oriented, occasionally socializes with friends who are focused and seems to enjoy when one of us gets home as he is more of a talker now than before.  He has a career "next step" in the making and thinks about all he needs to do to get to that career goal.  Nick is a bit of a worrier and needs to work on not dwelling on problems that "might" happen.  He is funny and positive and a good person who loves to lounge on the couch in the late afternoon.
