happy monday...

I hope you had a nice weekend.  I...

• did alot on Friday.  I was at the DMV with Nick before 8:30 for his license and then came home to eat after running.  I was then off to get a mani/pedi, return and buy some things at H & M, return and by some more shirts at Charming Charlie's, pick up clothes from the cleaners, get a few things for Brian and me at Von Maur and then come home to fold laundry, empty the dishwasher, pack our bag for Saturday and balance our funds.
• took the train into the city on a very rainy Saturday and was surprised by Brian.  He had finished work and was coming to the church with me.
• enjoyed a beautiful wedding.  The ceremony was lovely, the bride and groom beamed, the bridesmaids looked beautiful...very "summery...and the family and friends all beamed with happiness..  Weddings are wonderful affairs as everyone in attendance is filled with true joy.
• loved seeing Sarah's girlfriends and meeting Liz's parents, they are lovely people, and spending time with our dear Chris.
• woke up to this beautiful city view on Sunday morning.  Although we originally planned to go to the Taste of Chicago, Brian did not seem to want to as he likes to be out of the city on his day's off, so we headed home, stopped for some Excedrin as we both felt a bit "groggy" and then enjoyed a quiet afternoon in our home.
