a nick update...

As of yesterday, Nick has finished four weeks of training in Springfield.  Last Monday, he was pepper sprayed, which sounded horrible, and he learned defence tactics all week. He was really tired when he got home on Friday as his days went until at least 8 p.m. nightly and they were very physical.  Graduation is next Thursday in Springfield, but I'm sorry to say, I was the first person "not invited".  According to Nick, it's "no big deal" so I won't be there:( Then, he comes home that afternoon (Oh, he is the driver of the state van that takes him and his people to and from our state capital.) and on Monday, Nick will start his job in the juvenile prison as a guard. Yikes, this guy never lets us rest and yes, that is his double brat sandwich.  Did I mention he is ravenous as well when he comes home as he eats prison food all week?
