It's funny how things change. Our family started off as two and then quickly became three and four. We were four for a very long time before we were five. A family of five is a busy family, especially because when Nick was born, I was finishing my second degree and then when he was one, I started my first teaching job. Since then, we have been going and going and going until Nick was gone. When he left for college, Brian and I were once again alone, for the very first time in 27 years. Yep, that was how many years we were surrounded by our kids and now, we're back to being a family of three. How is it? It's just fine as living with us is a man who funny and respectful and motivated and grateful. The three of us eat together nightly, say hello and good-bye the moment the door opens or is about to be closed, watch television together and keep each other updated on our individual lives. We laugh a lot and kid and tease and just enjoy the time we have together as we all know, it is not permanent. Sooner, rather than later, it will once again be just the two of us. The circle of life, it's a funny thing, isn't it?
