Uncle Tony gave Nick an incredible birthday gift; a day of hunting with him and T. Nick was up before 6 and called up to me, "Do you think I'm getting ready too early?" Of course, my response was "no", as it had snowed last night and snow was predicted to continue in the morning so I thought traveling north would be slow. Nick proceeded to get ready and pack and leave to begin his adventure. Tony and Junior were in Richmond waiting for him and apparently, when the day unfolded, an incredible time was had by all. Nick loved every minute which included skeet shooting, hiking through true terrain, following a dog tracking game, reading the dog and learning to get into position to shoot and when to shoot. He brought home a pheasant pot pie and tee shirt and hat that bared the "Richmond Hunt Club" words courtesy of Uncle T. This day was, according to Nick, the most enjoyable/incredible time of his life and he says he is really "hooked." Tonight, his "birthday fun" continues as he just left to meet his "bff" Pat! Yeah, these two have not seen each other since graduation and have worked for over a week to figure out a meeting day and time and place. I hope it's a "Winner, winner, "friends reuniting" dinner." at the Holiday Inn.
