Well, it's here. The last day of 2013 and what a year it has been for my family. As I reflect on what has gone on over the past months, I smile as most of our events have been happy ones. Let's see, this past year...
- Nick had surgery to repair a very damaged leg which took almost 6 months to totally heal. (Not a good memory and the worries were maddening!)
- we had 2 graduations; Madalyn from high school and Nick from Arkansas State University.
- Karen and Nolan got married on my mom and dad's 60th anniversary.
- I went to California with Sarah and Matt and Los Vegas with Brian.
- Brian caddied for Matt who played in the BMW pro/am with Jason Day.
- sister-in-law Cathie turned 50.
- Sarah and Chris celebrated their 3rd anniversary!
- a more than crazy school year began with a new schedule and new administrators and new secretaries and new curriculum.
- many applications were filled in and tests taken by Nick who is looking for a job. He currently is working for a second security company.
- Matt turned 30.
- I hosted Thanksgiving which I absolutely loved.
- our entire family was together for Christmas which never happens.
- Jenny and Matt got engaged.
Brian and I are more than thankful for the many wonderful times we had this past year and so look forward to more in 2014!
