the shedd...

Field trips are a lot of work.  Reservations need to be made, permission slips gathered, money collected, chaperons contacted, groups organized, buses booked and keeping kids accounted for at all times are most of the responsibilities. Field trips are just, plain hard to plan and they are nervewraking.  Yesterday, we successfully enjoyed our adventure to The Shedd Aquarium.  We had 4 buses and 20 chaperons and 1 nurse and 20 Ikea blue bags filled with lunches and snacks and water.  The groups were manageable, except for the one Juju and I monitored...21 kids to keep track of as I had 2 last minute cancellation.  Yuck!  Thankfully, we safely returned to school  with everyone and all the adults on the bus shared they were looking forward to a shower and aspirin and a drink!
