sarah and chris: There was seepage in the basement to the carpet which eventually stopped. The padding under part of the carpet was removed and humidifies run to get the "mold" smell out of the basement.
matt and jenny: There was, maybe, 10 inches of water that came up through the drain in the basement. (That is Chicago.) It drained out and Matt was addressing things.
us: What I thought was water leaking from the wall ended up to be a leaking hose from our water purifier tank. It's still dripping but it's better than it was, according to my "not so" handy handyman.
Honestly, almost everyone at work had seepage or more major flooding or back up. Few places can handle the amount of continuous rain that we had over the past 24 hours.
