Around 2:00 p.m. my desk phone began to ring.
Around 2:03 p.m. my I-phone began to vibrate.
Around 2:04 p.m. my desk phone rang again.
O.K. I am a teacher. During this 7th period of my day, I have 30 students working with me and we were currently working on reporting and interpreting the results of an experiment.
But, is there something wrong? What is going on?
My family knows I cannot answer the phone during the day but yet, Brian is calling me every minute.
me: Susan Ronan
brian: Nick needs to know if he should sign the monthly contract Williamsburg is asking him to sign.
me: Yes. (Well, we talked about this! Nick signed a 6 month contract until February and then will need to sign a monthly contract as he will be leaving after graduation.)
brian: Can you call Nick and let him know this? He's busy and wanted to know what to do right now as he has something due on line.
me: No. I'm teaching right now.
brian: O.K. I'll call him.
me: Bye.
I then looked at my class and said, "Apparently someone needed to speak to me right now."
I then went on to work on analyzing data.
My, My!
