I hope you had a nice weekend. I
- was beyond saddened on Friday when I heard about the Connecticut tragedy and found myself standing around our dining room table with Brian and Nick watching the event on T.V. in silence.
- did my usual Saturday morning routine as Brian painted coat # 2 in our bathroom and then we put it back together.
Project 2 - planned some meals and went to Reams to buy it as you can never go wrong there.
- received a text from Nick around 7:10 on Sunday morning asking us to pick him up in South Elgin. When we turned on the designated street, we texted him for the address but he never picked. After a few attempts to contact him, we headed back home with coffee in hand, made a quick grocery stop, and enjoyed our early morning together. What!
- finished correcting all of my school papers and then headed back to South Elgin around noon to once again, pick Nick up. This time he did end up in the car.
- started to watch Downton Abbey Series 1... a definite "Yes!".
- ordered my holiday picture card and I'm pleased with it's look.
- enjoyed a Sunday in; the first in a long time and it felt so good.
