Good
I was packing my car in the Wallmart parking lot when I heard and older lady telling her grandson, "OK, let's try again." They were trying to lift this huge bag of mulch or something out of the cart. After seeing this was very hard for her, I decided to go over and help. She was so grateful and thanked me and felt bad that my shirt got a bit muddy. I left feeling good...pay it forward!
Bad
Phone rings after 5 and it is Nick. Since I had already talked to him earlier I thought, well, something might be up.
Nick: Mom, can you cancel my American Express card? I think I lost it.
Me: When?
Nick: Last night.
Me: OK.
I call Nick.
Me: It is canceled but I don't think you lost it as there were only 2 charges made on it. One for about $10.00 at a bar and another McDonald's later on. All were well before midnight.
Nick: I don't think I lost it either but I can't find it and I was worried. Is dad mad?
Me: Yes.
Nick: I'll call you tomorrow. I love you.
Me: I love you, too.
OK, I could have felt bad because I could have been upset but I wasn't. I just can't get mad at that kid!
