This is my final report as Nick is home looking greasy, dirty, out of sorts, thin and is currently breaking out in ache (I did not attempt to get a photo of him as I don't want to cause an argument which I think could easily break out.). He said "Country Thunder" was amazing and he would go back. We discovered the plans changed instantly as Chris's Hummer broke down before they left St. Charles so there were four men in the Focus; often sleeping in it due to the rain, lightening and thunder. Nick actually washed the car before he came home so who knows the condition it was in. Oh I know, it was bad as Brian just left to rewash the car as there were literally greasy head prints on all windows and it smelled like smelly men. (We did appreciate all of Nick's efforts though!) Some of the highlights of the trip were:
- mud.
- rain and thunder and tornado sirens going off.
- girls in the mud and then tackling Nick C. so he could join them in the mud...fun!
- running in the rain for cover.
- getting hit by mud flying from tires of another truck/car trying to get out of the mud.
- attempting to "jump" the Focus as it died.
- finding a place to shower as there was none at the camp grounds due to the lightening.
- some of the bands; although Nick did not know the names of most that he saw.
- nothing else as I will never know what really happened and that is a good thing so my questions stopped.
Laundry has been started and although I noticed there is a missing bag; I am not going to deal with anything else tonight. As Brian said, "Nick is home safe; he was not beat up or arrested and none of his friends were either. Everyone is in one piece. It is a good night!"
So good night!
