How could anyone get upset with this guy?

 Nick is one of those kids that something is always happening too.  It started before he was 1 and has continued ever since.  Yesterday, Brian was at the driving range for less that 5 minutes, trying to relax after work, when "the call" from Nick came in.  Nick was going into a gas station to buy something and when he went to pay, discovered his wallet must have fallen out of his pocket (How does that happen?).  He retraced his steps only to discover it was gone, no where to be found, stolen! The attendant played the station's tape for him and his friends in attempt to find the "thief", but the path Nick walked was not in the camera's view (...of course!).  Gone was $60.00, his license, American Express Card and debit card!  Brian was so wound up from this latest happening that he kept repeating, "Why does something always happen to Nick?" and "He is so expensive!".  I, on the other hand, was quite relieved that he was not hurt and that the only thing that happened to him was he no longer had a wallet. I then proceeded to call Nick, who felt bad, and after talking about how we could solve his "no money" dilemma, decided it would be best if I mail him a check and my credit card to charge gas on when he comes home. Brian went from rolling his eyes at all I was doing for "my Nick" to being flabbergasted when I became a little teary eyed as I read the text Nick sent me saying thanks again and that he loved me!  So sweet....he really is something, though, and know there are times my heart drops when I see his name on my ringing phone!
