Nick and I headed out to our local DMV station to get our licences and a state ID Wednesday afternoon. I must admit those places usually scare me as the workers are often crabby and mean and the people in there are quite interesting as there always seems to be "problems" everyone can hear being processed. Yesterday, our experience was not too bad as those that helped us were pleasant, despite the fact there was no air conditioning on a very hot and humid day and the windows were locked shut. At one point, as we sat next to each other in the front row of chairs, starring at 4 workers trying to solve a problem, Nick was sweating so much that the sweat was literally dripping off of his face. As far as the other customers, I looked around as little as possible, although one very old man who could barely walk to the photo station stopped in front of us as he loudly shouted/screamed an order to his companion. My only wonder was if he was really going to be issued a license as his "reflexes" did not seem to be sharp.
(P.S. How funny is it when you hear, "Now serving B235 at Window 17." at a DMV station!)
