| Celebrating after finishing the run! |
At midnight on Tuesday, February 1st registration is opened to run in the Chicago Marathon. Brian and I went to our first in 2009 when Sarah ran and it was amazing. I remember being filled with emotion and I found myself often in tears when I saw the smile on Sarah's face when she spotted us in the crowd or when we watched her run away to the next mile mark. Matt and Chris guided us from place to place cheering her on and when we finally spotted her near the finish line. our hearts were filled with happiness. The fact that Sarah and other runners worked for months to achieve the goal of finishing was nothing short of inspirational. I cannot wait until October when Sarah runs in her second marathon at 30 years old. Her family will be there applauding her!
