baked ravioli...

I made this dish last night as I wanted something fast to cook for dinner.  It is tasty and delicious and it only takes about 5 minutes to prepare.  When served for friends and family, it has always been a hit and on a cold winter night, it is a great "comfort food"  when eaten with toasty garlic bread accompanied with a delicious bottle of  red wine. Mmmm...

Baked Ravioli
1 jar of spaghetti sauce
1 can (15 oz) of undrained, diced tomatoes
1 can (10 oz) of reduced sodium beef broth
1/4 cup of Italian bottled salad dressing
2 packages (9 oz. each) of fresh cheese filled ravioli
1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
optional:  1 pound of cooked Italian sausage (bulk)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Cook meat as directed, if using.
Combine meat, spaghetti sauce, diced tomatoes, broth and salad dressing in a baking dish.
Add ravioli and mix lightly.
Cover with foil and bake 55 minutes.
Remove foil and top with mozzarella cheese.
Return to oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
