a lovey baby shower...

My team hosted Sara's shower yesterday to welcome the twin baby boys she and Don are adopting from Ethiopia.  It was lovely. We served punch and appetizers, put together a pretty table scape, showed a touching slide show of the twins that Don had made which was beautiful and played soothing African music.  Sara looked excited and happy and we, the team, were filled with emotions.  This wonderful couple has wanted a family for 6 years and it is going to happen soon.
(Saying we are happy for them is an understatement.  It was such a special day!)
The morning of the shower!
Sara laughed as I walked out of my room to take her picture on
her special day as it was such a "Mom Thing" to do!

Our food table looked so pretty filled with veggie pizza, an
African fruit salad, humas, punch, cake and more.
Sara's gift opening area decorated with an
African paper quilt made by our students.

Sara watching the video of her twins that her
husband put together...precious!

The Gift Opening
When Sara opened these matching Columbia jackets
she said, "Everything is cuter in twos!"

These adorable dolls were made by a co-worker.
I think they were my favorite gift as they as so sweet!

Our Team

I am hoping that Sara and Don's evening was filled with smiles as they looked at all of the gifts and wishing for a "soon to be announced" court date so her babies can come home!
