I am smiling as I think of how happy Brian and I were the day Nick was born. He was the sweetest baby and has truly been "a delight" for the past 22 years. Although he is the one that has caused us the greatest amount of worry as he was so very sick from 3 months and beyond, had a hard time in school and recovering from any illness or surgery has been scary. Nick is the kid who:
- has a twinkle in his eye that makes my heart get big.
- is truly kind to everyone; no matter what!
- works incredibly hard at anything he commits to in his life.
- loves his family.
- is what he is; Nick is not a complicated person.
- wants to be respected.
- has been alone with Brian and I for a very long time so we have a special bond.
- is genuine.
- laughs with his heart.
- appreciates what we do for him and thanks us so very often for everything.
- does not like to be touched.
- (who's) eyes light up when he sees his friends and family (and his friends are really nice people).
- gives both Brian and I joy.
Happy Birthday, Nick! Your birthday gift, dinner and hug are waiting for you in St. Charles!
